Crystal Dynamics Expands Team of developers for Avengers Project

It’s been nearly the whole year since we’ve heard anything about a mysterious video gaming project, focused on Marvel’s Avengers superhero team?designed by Square Enix studio Crystal Dynamics. The studio, famous for your Tomb Raider series, announced today that this project has enjoyed “tremendous progress,” and this the expansion team has expanded to a significant degree.

Early this month, we learned that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy writer and co-director Shaun Escayg left Naughty Dog for Crystal Dynamics and also their Avengers project. But Crystal Dynamics managed to nab far more developers using studios, including Stephen Barry, a 27-year veteran from the recently-shuttered Visceral Games.

The Avengers project has been brought to life by Crystal Dynamics with Eidos Montreal, but even with this recent news, information regarding this game are sparse. A trailer confirmed that core members Hulk, Thor, Batman and Captain America can be, it really is still unknown what make up the game can take.
